GREAT NEWS! The Hastings Family Aquatics Center will open this year and swimming lessons will resume! Online Swimming Lesson Registration is now underway. Register online at The pool will open for the 2021 season on Sunday, June 6, 12-5 p.m. for a Family/Floatie Swim!

The City of Hastings is still accepting applications for full-time Parks and Recreation Seasonal Workers. This is a great opportunity to work outdoors in our beautiful parks this spring and summer. Apply at

Dakota County Parks - forever wild is looking for local entertainers to perform outdoors in its summer performance series at Whitetail Woods Regional Park. These events are held in partnership with the Dakota County Public Art Citizen Advisory Committee. Applications are open to musicians, dancers and other performing artists. Do grocery stores really recycle plastic bags? Yes! Grocery stores that place collection bins for plastic bags do recycle them.
