First let me say that each one of us values different things.
And when we look to invest and improve our community of Hastings, we do so from the perspective of our values.
For one person it maybe time another money, etc, etc.
For me it is my Faith, not in a religion, but in in God and his Son Jesus Christ(Whom I believe is the redeemer of my soul).
With that in mind, I have created a Community Bible Study (on 1460 KDWA and Channel 14 cable access) with the Hope that God's Word, as it is shared by a group of friends will challenge, encourage,inspire the person or person's listening. We all need to know that we need each other, and desire to encourage one another as we go thru this adventure we call life.
We also created a program(also on KDWA AND Channel 14) entitled "Interactive Talk" which is obviously a talk program dealing with issues of the day from a Christians perspective.
I am involved in Angel Food Ministry- the goal here is to minister to those who need it, by providing groceries at a reduced cost, it is a once a month program.
The goal of this Blog is not to toot my own horn, although when I proof read this it sure sounded like I was, but rather be sounding board for people to share what they are doing to improve the Community of Hastings and to remind our selves we can always do more.
