NEWS AND VIEWS WITH REP. DENNY McNAMARA

Hello from the State Capitol,I’m pleased to report that the Minnesota House has approved its balanced budget legislation. As we do every budget cycle, lawmakers craft a funding proposal for each area of government – such as environment, K-12 education, and transportation. Once each of these omnibus finance proposals are approved, the House has then finalized funding for all state government services. To have this process completed in early April is quite unusual. You may recall that in years…See More

News and Views with Rep. Denny McNamara

Hello from St. Paul,The top goal of this legislative session is to solve Minnesota’s projected $5.1 billion budget deficit, and recently House Republicans took the first step towards eliminating this shortfall. We now have a roadmap to follow that will reduce government spending and reform the way government operates. And, as many of you will be happy to see, it forces state government to live within its means. So how do we plan to balance the budget? First of all, we won’t increase taxes. In…See More

Thanks for the update Denny. Keep up the good work there in St Paul. As you said, I think most Minnesotans want to see the government live within its means. Now is definitely not the time for tax increases!

GOVERNOR DAYTON’S BUDGET PROPOSAL DISAPPOINTING

The highlight of the past week at the State Capitol was the unveiling of Governor Mark Dayton’s balanced budget. Despite promises to significantly reduce state spending and reform state government, Governor Mark Dayton failed to follow through on either, which I found to be extremely disappointing.Minnesota currently faces a projected $6.2 billion budget deficit. To solve this problem, Dayton took the predictable choice of calling for tax increases. Dayton’s plan would raise taxes by more than…See More

will the government investigate the vioxx settlement for corruption?
corruption that denied victims of their right to fair compensation of their injuries...
a settlement that penalized people for risks caused by vioxx itself.

rights denied by the" sign up or lose representation claus" from their lawyers, leaving them with no other option than settling for pennies on the dollar...

when will murder charges be brought against merck, they have killed more people than most wars!!!!!
