NRA Certification

This class consists of classroom study and a visit to Twin Cities indoor pistol range for hands-on practice. Includes descriptions of the parts of a pistol and action types, as well as ammunition components and storage guidelines. Emphasis is placed on gun safety rules for pistol loading, unloading and operation procedures.

* DO NOT bring any firearms or ammunition to class! This is against school policy! Attendees will pay their own range fees of approximately $15-$20 each to range. Fundamental skills for pistol handling and shooting techniques are demonstrated and practiced. The second night is a range session focusing on gun handling techniques. Handguns and ammunition will be provided. Receive a take-home reference book plus NRA Certification. Pre-requisite: 21 years of age. Min. 5/Max. 12

First night is the classroom portion held in the Hastings High School from 5:30-9:45 pm.

Second night is at the Shooting Range for the Field Test
